VAIO冬季限定発売モデルの柄 同じパターンをWalkman / headphone / Cyber-shotにも展開。 デザインは中性的で、 クリスマスシーズンを過ぎても使えるようニュートラルで甘すぎないものにしました。ドットの集合体だけで構成されているパターンに、 粗密を作ることによって空気感と動きを出しています。 VAIO ではパソコン本体のきらきらした表面にパールを加えた2色のプリントを施すことにより、 光のあたる角度によって天から舞い降りる雪の結晶に見えたり、夜空に瞬く星に見えたりと変化を楽しむことができ、従来の精密機械にはない丸みと温かさを感じるデザインになっています。
Designed pattern for Christmas edition of VAIO, “ Sparkling White.” The sparkling surface of the laptop gives back two different scenes depending on the angle of light: snow falling down from the sky or stars sparkling in the dark sky.
This design adds a soft touch to the laptop.
“Sparkling White” was later developed into other products due to its popularity.

tona is a Tokyo based design studio, founded by Rika Kawato. Taking inspiration from her experience living in different countries and encountering various cultures, she provides designs with carefully thought out tone of color and texture. She now works in a wide range of design fields such as textile design, graphic design, furniture design, healthcare and welfare design.
