アップライトは愛知県豊橋市にある豊橋木工が製造しているベビーチェア・キッズチェア。 成長する子どもの姿勢を守りながら、大人になってもずっと使い続けられるこの椅子のために 2種類のファブリックBONBONとTSUMIKIをデザインしました。 TSUMIKIはあの『積み木』をモチーフにし、柄の中に様々な形の積み木を見つける、 子どもの遊び心と想像力を刺激するデザインです。 BONBONは子どもの知育玩具である百玉そろばんをモチーフにしており、 リズミカルで子どもたちが思わず触って動かしたくなるグラフィックにしています。 ちょっとした汚れが目立たないようモチーフの背景には細かなストライプをあしらっています。
We developed two types of fabrics, BONBON and TSUMIKI, for kids chair UPRIGHT. UPRIGHT can be used through infancy to adulthood while supporting the right posture of a growing child.

tona is a Tokyo based design studio, founded by Rika Kawato. Taking inspiration from her experience living in different countries and encountering various cultures, she provides designs with carefully thought out tone of color and texture. She now works in a wide range of design fields such as textile design, graphic design, furniture design, healthcare and welfare design.
