「FUSUMA」は伝統的な日本家屋に見られる障子をイメージしました。縦横に入るラインは障子の桟を、その後ろにランダムに描いたカーブは障子に映る草木の影を表現しています。 フォレストグリーンがデンマークの森で感じた雰囲気を表すように、ミッドナイトブルーは夜中、月明かりによって部屋が薄く青味がかる様子を、モーニンググレイはデンマークの淡い朝の光を表し自然から感じ取った色を取り込みました。 自然の美しさを建築に取り入れた日本と、デンマークの美を一つに融合させたデザインです。
The FUSUMA series for GEORG JENSEN DAMASK is designed with the image of Japanese sliding paper screens, called shoji, in mind. The horizontal and vertical lines resemble the sash bars of shoji, and the random curves behind them express the shadows of foliage case upon its screens. The colors are inspired from experiences in nature: Forest Dew depicts the atmosphere felt in a Danish forest, Midnight Blue depicts the tint of a room under moonlight at midnight, and Morning Grey portrays the pale morning light in Denmark. The design merges the beauty of Japan and Denmark, countries that both bring in the beauty of nature into their architecture and design.

ジョージ・ジェンセン・ダマスクは1756年に創立されたデンマーク王室御用達のテキスタイルブランドです
tonaは河東梨香が主宰するデザイン事務所です。日本人の父とデンマーク人の母の間に生まれ、旧ソ連、スウェーデン、日本で幼少期を過ごした経験を生かし、テキスタイルからグラフィック、家具、医療福祉環境まで幅広い領域で色と素材感を大切にしたものづくりを実践しています。
tona is a Tokyo based design studio, founded by Rika Kawato. Taking inspiration from her experience living in different countries and encountering various cultures, she provides designs with carefully thought out tone of color and texture. She now works in a wide range of design fields such as textile design, graphic design, furniture design, healthcare and welfare design.
